Winery: Maple Springs
Grapes: Albariño
Appellation: Pennsylvania
Cost: $34 (vintage 2022)
Description: A deliciously creamy, balanced quaffer with peachy notes.
Why it’s a Benchmark PA Wine: In its native land (Spain and Portugal), Albariño is mostly known as a fresh, light white with searing acidity that pairs well with seafood and summertime. Maple Springs, however, has embraced the unique terroir of PA, producing a lusher wine that highlights ripe stone fruit notes, all without losing that telltale acidity.
